Rice Farmers Co-op

With Jack Riemer

Semester long research and design project focused on ‘desakota urbanism’ in rural Taiwan. I researched the pressing issue of rural gentrification of culturally rich agricultural lands by illegal factories. My proposal created agency for rice farmers to control the processing, packaging, and distribution of their crops. My design created additional value for the co-op through a farm-to-table restaurant and agro-touris, and focused on creating intimate experiences between the visitors and the rice growing.
